"Modern Madras Table Runner" with Jennifer Sampou

Jennifer Sampou grew up in a vibrant home of “makers”. Laura Ashley Headquarters in Wales, UK was her first stint as a designer and then she moved to California where she was design director for P&B Textiles. She founded Studio Sampou and licenses to Robert Kaufman Fabrics. Jennifer has created more than 4000 prints and sold millions of yards worldwide. She designs patterns and teaches for C&T Publishing. Wanderlust keeps her eye sharp and curiosity leads her around the world seeking color and art. She lives outside of San Francisco with her husband, boys and many pets.

Jennifer will be presenting the “Modern Madras Table Runner” workshop.  This is a good project for new ombre enthusiasts because it just uses three Ombre SKY fabrics per side. It's a reversible table runner that is easy to make due to simple piecing and comes together quickly. Students get to focus more on the color and less on construction. Bonus learning golden nugget is that Jennifer teaches in depth how to matchstick quilt which gives this textile fabulous texture. And it's great as a piece on the back of a couch or bottom of the bed, not just a table runner!

Skill Level: Beginner friendly but all skill levels will enjoy the workshop
