"The StarflakeQuilt" with Blair Stocker

Blair Stocker designs modern patchwork quilts, tools and patterns, all of which are geared towards encouraging you to use those special fabrics and cherished scraps you’ve been holding onto, not save them.  She provides inspiration for you to use your fabrics in new, and unexpected ways.  The author of books on quilting and crafting (most recently is Wise Craft Quilts: A Guide to Turning Beloved Fabrics into Meaningful Patchwork), she also invented the Ruby Ruler®️ to help you design scrappy quilts using those fabrics you love.  Born in North Carolina, she now resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico after a 25 year stop in Seattle.

In this workshop you will learn the design elements of complex color value relationships as you make the Starflake Quilt.  The workshop will cover concepts like using the same fabric for different values, how to set design parameters that inspire you, and making consistent design decisions in a complex design like the Starflake Quilt.

Skill Level: Intermediate
